Christmas in July

We have decided to take our vacation early this year. P. wants to avoid his family during Christmas altogether (long story). I would like to not have to go to seven different events for my families. I hate the cold, so it would be awesome to sit on the beach during Christmas. And Cass is getting married in our usual vacation month of February, and she basically needs me the entire month. So we are running off to our favorite place, San Juan, for Christmas. For the next 3-4 days I have to scour the internet (or as my grandma calls it, the intranet) for the very best deals on airfares to Puerto Rico during Christmas. Yes, it may sound rough, but I will reap the benefits when all of you suckers are stuck in the cold and snow spending uncomfortable time with your insane families (sorry Mom!).

Actually, it is going to be a chore. P. is going to fly out a week ahead of me, so I have to basically plan 2 itineraries. His flight is going to be like $400-$500, mine will be $700-$800. That totally sucks, but I can’t really take time off during fourth quarter, but I am finagling Christmas week. But this is why I am doing this six months in advance, so we won’t be paying $1000 per flight.

It will be awesome, like the Christmas Cass and I went to Disney World and spent Christmas week partying at Pleasure Island (Holy shit, which I just found out is closing, LAME), riding rides and shopping. No pressure, no family time, no running around to seven places because I come from a crazy mixed family and now have to also squeeze in one more event because I have a long-term boyfriend. No shopping starting in October, only gifts of rum, coffee mugs and key chains picked up in the shops of San Juan? Sounds awesome to me!
